Another door has opened for a pork processing business that could start up in Le Mars and create more than 50 jobs.
North American Co-Pack Iowa was offered a $255,000 High Quality Jobs Creation award from the Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED) this week.
Neal Adler, Le Mars Business Initiative Corporation executive director, said no final decision about the move has been made yet.
"That was an important piece to this project happening," Adler said.
A few more things need to be addressed before a final decision can be made, he added.
