Meat products produced by Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly were recognized in a competition at the annual convention of the Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors held this month in Madison. In a statement, Fox Bros. said it received the following awards: grand champion fresh breakfast sausage; reserved grand champion for its cooked nacho brat; champion for its tailgate burger; and reserve champion for its traditional bratwurst.
The Wisconsin Meat Product Competition is the largest of its kind in the United States. In this year's competition, meat processing plants and meat markets from throughout the state entered 944 products in 36 product categories, including summer sausage, bratwurst, ham, bacon, smoked poultry and a variety of other types of meat products.
Fox Bros meat products are produced in its Oconomowoc location, and are available in all of the chain's suburban Milwaukee locations including Hartland, Hartford, Richfield, Slinger, Saukville and Jackson.
