CRESTWOOD, Schnucks has issued a recall on all ground beef sold between 6 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 11 at its Crestwood store at 9540 Watson Road.
A meat clerk noticed damage to the grinder which could have resulted in metal shavings getting into the meat. All ground beef was immediately removed from the shelves and the grinder was repaired, cleaned and sanitized.
Any Crestwood customer who purchased ground beef between 6:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday may return the product for a full refund or exchange. An estimated 12 packages were sold during that time period.
