MOBILE, Ala. — A massive, $58 million refrigeration facility is being built near Mobile’s port. The company, MTC Logistics, will create dozens of permanent jobs to go with its new location, and it could be a game changer for Alabama’s poultry industry.
“There is nothing else along the coast like this,” said Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson.
The company is able to blast freeze 30 truckloads of chickens a day. And with APM Terminals right across the street, shipping Alabama’s poultry overseas to the Middle East, Asia, and South America will be a breeze.
