Costco Chief Executive Officer Craig Jelinek said Wednesday the retailer is still pursing its plans for a poultry operation in eastern Nebraska but has not given the project a final go-ahead.
That would come after the company secures the needed permits, he told The World-Herald. He said the company is working with the City of Fremont on those.
Fremont City Administrator Brian Newton said Wednesday that the city has received a site development permit application and is in the process of reviewing it.
