Summer may be months away, but people in the Montgomery area are already firing up their grills and taking advantage of longer, warmer days.
This year, why not move beyond burgers with ketchup, mustard and other traditional (and boring!) toppings?
Ed Whatley of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association is big on burgers with all sorts of toppings, particularly if it's cheese, just about any kind of cheese. One of his favorite burgers is topped with soy-blue cheese crumbles.
