Beef Helps Idaho Foodbank

RIGBY – Meat, Meat, and more meat… That was the scene outside of Broulim's Supermarket in Rigby. The Idaho Beef Council gave out prizes to people who answered questions about beef correctly. There was lots of steak to try on hand, as well as a bounce house, games, and one winner won $200 in beef. All the proceeds were doubled by Broulim's and donated to the "Idaho Food Bank."

"Less of us are being born and raised on ranches these days we don't have that first hand experience of how does beef get to the meat tub at grocery stores, so this is an opportunity for us to educate them," said Tracie Odonell, Idaho Beef Council.

"The Idaho Food Bank really needs this type of thing to raise fund for what probably will be tough times, tougher times coming," said Mike Smith, Meat Manager Broulim's Supermarket.
