Austin-based meat truck Ranch House Quality Meats Inc. was given an "F" rating from the Texas Better Business Bureau for failing to respond to consumer complaints, among other violations.
The bureau said the door-to-door meat seller did not respond to 21 of 31 customer complaints, including allegations that the company misrepresented product quality and refund and exchange policies.
Some complained Ranch House did not respond to requests for replacement meat or customer billing issues. Also, the bureau reported the meat-seller touting false Better Business Bureau accreditation and misuse of the group's trademark.
