Armour BreakfastMakers Hosts Free-Admission Day At San Antonio Children's Museum

Lisle, Ill. –  Armour® BreakfastMakers™ turned the San Antonio Children's Museum into a breakfast place. Armour BreakfastMakers, a new line of ready-to-eat refrigerated breakfast items, sponsored the museum's admission costs for the entire day so that kids of all ages could learn and play for free. It was the first time that admission to the museum was free for the entire day. As part of the day's happenings, Armour hosted special activities and exhibits, and handed out samples of Armour BreakfastMakers' six varieties to everyone at the museum. Whether it's at home, at a playground, on a boat or in today's case, at the museum, Armour BreakfastMakers truly make anyplace a breakfast place.

"At Armour BreakfastMakers, we believe in making things simple and easy as possible, and our goal this morning was to make it convenient and hassle-free for families to visit the San Antonio Children's Museum" said Shivika Jamison, brand manager for Armour. "We understand that it can be difficult for families to take kids on weekend outings. We're excited to treat them to a day of fun and education at the museum without worrying about the usual logistics. We hope that everyone was able to enjoy their day."

Armour made sure that everyone started their day off right. They gave all of the museum goers free Armour BreakfastMakers and Yoo-hoo, which was contributed by the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group.

Kids at the San Antonio Children's Museum were treated to an inventor's workshop. The workshop was a hands-on exercise in using science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and focused on making those subjects fun for kids as they learn.

The educational excitement didn't stop there, though. Kids learned a thing or two about geography as well. Thanks to a green screen photo booth that Armour provided, kids got their picture taken at exotic locations from all over the globe. They were photographed eating breakfast in front of backdrops of the beach, outer space and an exotic safari. The pictures were printed and given to each kid free of charge.

"We feel that introducing a child to concepts in science, technology, engineering and math can light that initial 'spark' of curiosity that leads them down a strong academic path." says Robin Voight, Education Director at the San Antonio Children's Museum. "Children love hands-on lessons that engage multiple senses. We strongly believe that our programming and facility help facilitate this curiosity and interaction."
