AMI and eight other meat and livestock industry groups submitted a reply to the government's arguments in the country-of -origin labeling (COOL) rule preliminary injunction appeal. The brief argues that in its response, the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) does not address the points raised by AMI and the other appellants and that AMS introduces new arguments it had not previously raised, including that the rule is designed as an "anti-deception" measure.
