Los Angeles – The international flower trade show World Floral Expo will move next year from Chicago to Los Angeles and hold its next edition in the LA Convention Center, located next to the world famous Staples Center. The city has been chosen for its proximity to LA International airport (LAX) and the Californian flower growers’ area, who are expected to have a strong presence in the upcoming trade show. Especially for this reason the outcome of the show may lead to unexpected positive developments, such as a sales boost of Californian grown cut flowers and potted plants.
The event is primarily targeting exhibiting flower growers meeting with buyers of cut flower & potted plants. However other floral supply companies are also part of the exhibitor profile, since these growers & buyers are their clients as well. It can therefore be said that the expo will fit any company within the floriculture chain, from breeder to retailer.
Four months before the show will open its doors, 60 US and international growers and other floral supply companies have already signed up to exhibit and the organisers are expecting a full house in March. The exhibit hall has a total size of 60,000 square feet and can easily allocate 200 exhibitors. World Floral Expo therefore has the potential to become the biggest floral trade show in California.
