Canby, Ore. – Terra Nova Nurseries announced today a sneak peek of its brand-new variety, Echinacea PRIMA Saffron. This deciduous perennial produces beautiful saffron-colored blooms all season long, while maintaining a short, compact habit. Echinacea PRIMA Saffron is the newest varietal addition to Terra Nova Nurseries’ Echinacea PRIMA collection.
Cheery, daisy-like flowers appear on top of this fast-growing perennial from early summer until almost fall. It has unusually bright flowers that can add long-lasting color to containers, borders, mass plantings, and mixed beds.
Echinacea PRIMA Saffron has a variety of special uses; it is a great cut flower, a pollinator and hummingbird attractor, deer resistant, and well suited for the American Deep South, among other uses.
Echinacea PRIMA Saffron blooms from June to October. U.S.D.A. Hardiness Zones for Echinacea PRIMA Saffron are 4-9, and its exposure allows for full sun. It has a foliage height of 12”, a foliage spread of 20” and a flower height of 18”.
