On Thursday evening, January 15, the presentation of the FloraHolland Glazen Tulp Award 2015 took place. The award acknowledges the most successful market introductions of the year.
Television presentor and jury chairman Rob Verlinden announced the winners in the four categories of cut flowers, houseplants, garden plants and concepts. The prizes were presented to a large audience during a festive meeting in De Broodfabriek in Rijswijk.
In the cut flowers category, Together2Grow from Schipluiden won first prize with the Alstroemeria Charmelia. The jury considered it a hit. Charmelia represents a completely new type of Alstroemeria, with strong branches with many small, beautifully colourful flowers.
