WITI-TV, MENOMONEE FALLS — Christmas is just around the corner, and many are in the midst of decorating their homes and offices! Poinsetta plants are often the decor of choice for many people. There's not a poinsettia specifically designed for Green Bay Packers fans.
When you think of holiday poinsettias, you probably think of these bright red plants or maybe a white one. What about green and gold ones? Shady Lane Greenhouse Rep Heidi Hornung says, "We've had reactions from 'I would never buy one' to 'I think they're great!'"
Five years ago, as a joke, growers at Shady Lane Greenhouse in Menomonee Falls created poinsettias called "pack-settia"named after the Green Bay Packers.
