Rose Society Of South Australia's Rose Of The Month: 'Fiona's Wish'

'Fiona's Wish' is a multi-award winning, highly fragrant rose which is still in great demand 12 years after its release. Bred by Alain Meilland in France and introduced in 2001, this classic Hybrid Tea has bright cherry-red petals with creamy amber on the reverse.

Fiona's Wish is a tall, hardy and disease resistant rose growing up to 1.5m high and 90cm wide and is a proven performer in our warm climate.  Flowers are borne freely throughout the entire growing season and are suitable as a cut flower or for a vibrant colourful display in the garden.

This rose is superb in all respects receiving two Gold Medals in 1996 at the Rose Trials in Italy and Belgium. Recognising the outstanding rose and fruit fragrance, this rose also won the 'Most Fragrant Rose' Award presented by the National Rose Trial Garden in Adelaide in 2000 and Award for Fragrance in Belgium in 1996.
