A rose is a rose is a rose, they say. They’re wrong.
Some blooms last days; some are dead on delivery. If you plan to make a grand
floral gesture this Valentine’s Day, do it right. Don’t blow it with a
burned-out bouquet.
In a totally unscientific study, a dozen long-stemmed roses were purchased from
five local and online florists to see which lasted longest.
The findings? The more expensive bouquets didn’t fare well, while the most
affordable ones lasted longest. But no roses come cheap. Turns out that if you
want to win over your valentine, you should spend a little cash.
