A group of florists produced an unlikely scene Thursday as they arranged
flowers in front of the U.S. District Court in New Orleans.
Their point was both political and legal. And it was a valid one.
The florists were in New Orleans protesting what is an arcane and useless law
requiring that Louisianas florists be licensed by a state board before they can
legally practice their craft.
The Institute for Justice said it will file a lawsuit challenging the troubling
law, a challenge that should succeed.
