Mothers have Mother’s Day. Lovers have Valentine’s Day. But what about a holiday that celebrates all women, who are doing great things to create a better world? International Women’s Day Thursday, March 8, does just that, and Len Busch Roses in Plymouth is preparing bouquets to celebrate this global holiday.
“We want to get behind this movement as a day to celebrate women in our everyday lives who are making a difference in our homes, schools and community,” Georgia Edgington, designer for the wholesale flower grower and distributor.
International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8 to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It is also a day that marks a “call to action for accelerating gender parity,” the site states.
