Hoping to spread goodwill and collect food for local food banks a Southern Oregon florist plans to give away 10,000 roses on Wednesday.
Starting at 8 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 1, Judy's Florists and Radio Medford will begin handing out 10,000 free Roses, by the dozen to the residents of the Rogue Valley.
The florist shops at 337 E. Pine St., Central Point, and Seventh and Steiger streets in Grants Pass will give out the roses and be drop points for canned foods.
Organizers expect all 10,000 roses will be handed out before noon, but each food donation all day gets a chance to win a $100 floral arrangement.
