Oregon's agricultural production was worth a record $5.4 billion in 2012, according to preliminary figures compiled by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's statistics service and Oregon State University.
The record value shows the state's farms and ranches have largely recovered from the recession, the Oregon Department of Agriculture said in a news release. The previous record, $5.3 billion, was set in 2011.
