The 39th annual Orchid Show brightened things up with a little color on a cloudy
day.
Hosted by the Heart O’ Texas Orchid Society, the event took place at Zilker
Botanical Gardens.
Organizers want people to know that even though orchids are an exotic type of
flower, they’re very easy to grow in Central Texas.
“It’s nice to get up front and smell them. The fragrance is beautiful. They’re
just beautiful plants, and there’s such a wide variety for you to experience, we
just want people to fall in love with orchids like we have,” Monica Gaylor, with
the group, said.
