Online Flower Shop Fails To Deliver

An online flower shop that sends bouquets and baskets across Canada sometimes substitutes one item for something completely different, without checking with the customer, or doesn’t deliver at all, according to CBC-TV’s Marketplace.

Bloomex claims to be Canada’s biggest florist, with the best value guaranteed, but when Marketplace put the company to the test it failed to deliver on its promises.

Terrie Aylesworth of Surrey, B.C., was supposed to receive a Bloomex "Chocolate Lovers" basket as a thank-you gift from her sister. The price was $69.99 plus shipping and taxes.

But instead of chocolate, Aylesworth received a box of fruit. Aylesworth called to complain, but Bloomex said it didn't have the chocolates in stock at the time.
