NEW YORK — Multi Packaging Solutions (“MPS”)(NYSE:MPSX), a global market leader in healthcare, spirits, confectionery, and horticultural packaging, has announced the launch of their newly redesigned horticultural consumer website, BloomIQ.com.
BloomIQ is a free digital platform that provides both novice and experienced gardeners with expert advice, inspiration, and education on garden design, plants, and gardening.
MPS Senior Vice President of Horticulture, Kristi Huffman, explains: “BloomIQ was originally created in 2010 to provide the everyday gardener with the information and inspiration needed for a rewarding gardening experience.”
But gardeners are not the only ones reaping the benefits from this site. “Many of our customers choose to include BloomIQ.com on their tags, labels, and packaging that we produce for them. This free add-on bridges the communication gap between gardeners and the retailers, growers, and breeders.”
“After launching the original BloomIQ.com, we quickly realized that BloomIQ had become more than the sum of its parts; it’s truly a community,” comments Rick Vulgamott, MPS National Director of Sales for Horticulture.
With the relaunch, MPS will introduce a monthly report for the BloomIQ community and MPS customers alike. Vulgamott notes, “We’re establishing a dialogue; it’s exciting to be able to provide feedback to the BloomIQ community and insight to our customers on the interests and buying patterns of gardeners.”
The updates to the website include a bright new layout, as well as interactive features such as a “Question of the Week.” With the redesign, MPS is creating a unique space in the digital verse for gardeners to form an active part of the community. MPS has also extended their efforts with BloomIQ Facebook and Twitter pages that seek to drive a vibrant, real-time conversation around plants and flowers.
Huffman explains that the goal of the redesign was, “to inspire gardeners with a fresh take on BloomIQ, while also giving our customers better information through our upcoming BloomIQ community report. I believe we’ve accomplished just that.”
