SAN DIEGO, CA – McHutchison Horticultural Distributors and Vaughan’s Horticulture announced the hiring of five new sales representatives to add to their North American sales teams. Chris Avani (New Jersey), Nicole Vogt (Pennsylvania), Barry Zug (Pennsylvania), and Michael Wisshack (Washington) have all joined the McHutchison sales team and Matt Willoughby (South Carolina) with Vaughan’s Horticulture.
Nathan Lamkey, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the McHutchison Corporation, says that the new additions are part of an on-going development plan that has seen the company expand substantially over the last 4 years. “We have been significantly growing our business on both the McHutchison and Vaughan’s teams, and we are dedicated to building on these successes and see the continuous development of our sales teams as fundamental to this. Our customers continually express to us that it is our personal touch and accessibility that helps us add value, so adding more service oriented colleagues to our teams will make us that much more available to them.”
Nicole Vogt and Barry Zug will be taking over the Western Pennsylvania territory with Vogt servicing the greenhouse customers and Zug specializing in the nursery field. Nicole Vogt brings great experience in retailing green goods, as she was most recently the retail manager for Bedner’s Farm & Greenhouse in McDonald, PA. Barry Zug comes to McHutchison from SiteOne Landscape Supply, where he was a location site manager and was responsible for sourcing nursery stock throughout the mid-Atlantic territory.
Chris Avani, a salesman from SiteOne Landscape Supply for 15 years, will be layered into the New Jersey and New York territories. Chris has extensive experience in both the greenhouse and nursery goods categories and will add tremendous value to this territory.
In Washington, Michael Wisshack is the newest member of the McHutchison team. Wisshack has more than a decade of experience managing the operations of nurseries in the northwest territory and most recently was the National Sales Manager for Etera Green Roof Plants, a division of Skagit and Northwest Horticulture. Prior to his experience in the Northwest, Michael worked for the Paul Ecke Ranch as the Blooming Manager in Encinitas, CA.
The newest member to the Vaughan’s team is Matt Willoughby who comes from Michell’s where he was the sales rep in the southeast for the last 7 years. Willoughby will be managing part of the southeast territory as well as select national accounts for Vaughan’s.
“We’re excited to have Matt on board, not only for the great job he’s done managing the territory the last seven years, but also to help us expand into national account roles which we have not had in the past”, says Keith Cable, President of Vaughan’s Horticulture. “Matt has a strong understanding of the box store markets and we believe he will help our company grow in that direction in the near future.”
