'De Glazen Tulp' (the glass tulip), a prestigious prize for the best novelty, is presented every year in January. In 2017 a change is being introduced as the award will be presented from now on in the autumn.
In Royal FloraHolland we are currently working on a new policy for novelties that will fit in with our 2020 strategy. For example, a new system will provide an improved method for registering novelties. In addition, innovative, new products will always be given a platform at trade fairs and events. And De Glazen Tulp, the prize for the best novelty, will undergo a make-over.
'De Glazen Tulp' bigger and more international
Novelties are important in our sector. They are the proof that the horticultural sector is continuously developing, always searching for better, stronger and innovative types of plants, flowers and concepts. The reward for the best novelty or concept is De Glazen Tulp. It is the moment to celebrate novelties. That is why Royal FloraHolland values the presentation of this prestigious award for the novelties of its members, both local and foreign.
