Kennicott Brothers & Mariano's Bring Passion Roses To Boomers Stadium Aug. 14

Schaumburg, IL:  On August 14, the first 1000 women who enter the Schaumburg Boomers Stadium will receive a free single-stem rose, complements of the well-known supermarket chain, Mariano’s.  Dubbed the “Halfway to Valentine’s Day” promotion, this event is more than a means of promoting flowers with Minor League baseball fans – it is representative of Mariano’s involvement with their community, and the quality of their floral offerings.

Based in Colombia, South America, Passion Farms is the exclusive supplier of superb-quality roses to Mariano’s, who is supported in this promotion by their local flower distributor Kennicott Brothers Company.  Kennicott Marketing intern, Jessica Walker, who played a large role in conceptualizing the “Halfway To Valentine’s Day” event, illustrates the merits of the campaign.  “Putting 1000 Passion Roses in the hands of female Boomers fans is such a smart move for Mariano’s,” says Walker.  “It not only shows the high level of quality to which their stores adhere, but it associates the Mariano’s name with the biggest floral holiday of the year.”

The Schaumburg Boomers were the 2013 Frontier League Champions, and 47% of their regular fan base are females aged 30-49.  Nearly half of their regular game attendees report an annual household income of $100K or higher.  The “Halfway to Valentine’s Day” rose giveaway takes place at the August 14th night game against the Evansville Otters.  Visit www.boomersbaseball.com for more information.
