One aspect of this comprehensive floral research reveals consumer purchasing trends for 24 holidays, events, and occasions. Collectively, these consumer floral usage profiles, and P&P's previous report release on Valentine's Day purchasing, show that consumer purchasing for specific holidays and occasions is largely driven by different demographic trends, and thus, targeting the "general floral consumer" is sub-optimal, likely resulting in sub-par sales. The consumer demographic trends identify opportunities for the floral industry, allowing floral retailers and mass marketers to sharpen their marketing, advertising appeals, and promotional messaging to consumers for specific holidays and occasions.
