Finalists Announced For AIPH International Grower Of The Year 2019 Awards

The International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) has today announced the finalists for the prestigious International Grower of the Year (IGOTY) Awards 2019. The nine ornamental grower finalists come from: Belgium, China, Denmark, Kenya, the Netherlands and Poland. 

The finalists are:

1.       Clematis ?ród?o Dobrych Pn?czy Spó?ka, z ograniczon? odpowiedzialno?ci? Spó?ka komandytowa, Poland

2.       Fujian Hongzhan Landscape Engineering Co., Limited, China

3.       Gartneriet Tvillingegaarden, Denmark

4.       Gediflora, Belgium

5.       Inner Mongolia M•Grass Ecological Environment (Group) Co., Ltd, China

6.      Jiangsu Zhonghe Flowers Co. Limited, China

7.       OK Plant, the Netherlands

8.      Oserian Development Company Limited, Kenya

9.       Sichuan Colorful Forestry Development Co.Limited, China.

The IGOTY Awards will be held on 22nd January at the IPM Fairground, Essen, Germany, alongside the world’s largest international horticultural trade fair, and are supported by headline partner Royal FloraHolland and founding partner FloraCulture International. 

Established by AIPH, the IGOTY Awards have been championing outstanding achievement in the ornamentals sector since 2009. They recognise best practice in horticultural production by the top ornamental production nurseries from around the globe, celebrating the expertise and energy they give to horticulture.The awards also stimulate and promote best practice by giving global attention to outstanding producers and promoting knowledge throughout the industry. 

The IGOTY Awards are judged by a jury of six internationally recognised experts. At the gala ceremony, winners of four separate categories will be announced; finished plants and trees, cut flowers, young plants and sustainability.   From amongst the winners of all categories, an overall champion will be crowned the ‘Gold Rose Winner’, to recieve the most coveted and prestigious award of the night. 

2018 Gold Rose Winner, Eduard Ter Laak of Ter Laak Orchids said, “Every day we strive for top quality, so we invest continuously in technical innovations and the development of our product.
