Drama Queen Rose Launched By Judi Dench

The RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2010 is underway, and one of the most popular blossoms at the event was launched by Judi Dench.

According to Telegraph.co.uk, the rose is taking center stage at England's most beloved flower show. Several varieties of the flower are on display, but one that is expected to fare well among buyers is the rose endorsed by the actress.

"We are expecting it to be one of our best-sellers," Bill Le Grice, a rose specialist who bred Drama Queen, told the news source. 'The cold winter has meant the plants were really dormant and they have come out with some wonderful colors this year."

The flowers are a pinkish-red with speckled white tints, and reflect "a deck chair in high summer," according to the news source. It was chosen to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Sheringham Little Theater, located on the Norfolk coast.

Roses are a classic and elegant flower that come in a wide variety of shapes and colors. According to Rose Magazine, roses are the most popular flower, and are sold more than all other blooms.
