Denver Wholesale Florist Breaks Ground In Harmon Business Park

ROSSFORD — It won't be long before thousands of flowers will be occupying the space near where ground was broken Wednesday at the site of Harmon Business Park.

The flowers will not be growing there, rather they will be shipped in and out of Denver Wholesale Florist, a dealer that provides cut flowers to retailers. The floral company is expanding its operation and will occupy the first building at the $75 million dollar business park.

After more than 70 years in Toledo, beginning as Toledo Florist Exchange, Denver Wholesale Florist determined the Rossford location will be ideal for its operation. The Denver-based company acquired TFE inn 1998 from Chris and Mike Hensien. Mike Hensien has remained with DWF and spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony.
