It all began on August 13th when Deliflor LatinAmerica attended Marco Island FL, for the annual convention of SAF (Society of American Florists). It was a great 3-day meeting in which we were attending educational conferences and meetings with some of our clients, as well as with customers of our clients. As every year, the convention attracted the most important characters in the world of flowers for America. We had the pleasure to enjoy warm conversations, very interesting debates on our world of flowers, plus we got a few awards.
As is common, our varieties were very popular among visitors to this convention, growers and marketers shared their experiences and concerns and we got very good feedback with which we will work to continue to improve.
Floriculture Symposium (August 27th -29th)
A few days after SAF convention ended, "SIFLOR", educational event, was held in Medellín, an event in which most growers from Colombia, and from the rest of the world congregate. The event had a record number of participants and visitors who had the opportunity to see our varieties at our booth, which was one of the busiest in the whole show. Growers, marketers and very close friends to the association sat in our booth to talk about flowers accompanied, on occasions, with a glass of wine.
