The Canadian Cancer Society is bemoaning the loss of a top retailer as it prepares to kick off its annual daffodil campaign.
Organizer Al Pelley said the Cancer Society is selling 28,000 bunches of freshly cut daffodils this year, and while they hope to sell every one, it's going to be harder with the loss of a retailer that had provided space for the fundraising campaign.
"There was one major retailer that unfortunately had to back out this year," he said.
"We're unable to get into that location to sell flowers."
