Booshoot Grows Management Team Adds Chief Business Officer & Director of Strategic Partnerships

MOUNT VERNON, WA — Booshoot, a biotech company focused on bamboo forestry, agriculture and nursery wholesale, today announced it has hired two senior executives, a move that signals the large volume of commercial transactions that Booshoot expects to execute over the coming months.

Joining the Booshoot team are Brian Finrow, who will serve as chief business officer and general counsel, and Scott Paul, who becomes director of strategic partnerships. As chief business officer, Mr. Finrow will lead Booshoot’s strategic corporate development initiatives and will oversee the company’s legal and governmental affairs. Initially, he will also have responsibility for the company’s financial, accounting and treasury operations.

Prior to joining Booshoot, Finrow was an attorney with Cooley LLP, an AmLaw Global 100 law firm, where he practiced in the emerging companies group, advising venture capital firms and public and private companies in the life sciences and information technology industries. In his legal practice, Finrow assisted more than 100 emerging growth technology companies navigate through multiple rounds of financing and development. He earned his law degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where he was an Executive Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. As director of strategic partnerships, Mr. Paul will help Booshoot cultivate appropriate public and private partnerships to advance sustainable development and coordinate stakeholder involvement.

Paul brings more than two decades of sustainability and public policy experience to his position at Booshoot. Before joining the company, he spent more than 13 years at Greenpeace, most recently as a policy analyst and director of the forest campaign. He previously served as a program officer for the Global Forestry Policy Project where he occasionally represented non-governmental organizations on U.S. Government delegations to the United Nations. Mr. Paul also worked in The White House Office on Environmental Policy and served on the board of directors at the forest stewardship council.
