Today the first foundation pile of the new breeding facility for Orchids in Bleiswijk was driven in. With the construction of this new breeding facility, Anthura is centralizing its Research & Development (R&D) activities. The greenhouse will be brought into use in November 2012.
In this new R&D breeding facility the very latest techniques will be installed to ensure the most efficient energy performance.
Diaphragm screen
Diaphragm screens should contain good insulation and make optimal use of the available light. The diaphragm screen makes it possible to regulate the quantity of tolerated light accurately within a few seconds. As extra insulation, all the outer walls will be made of insulated sandwich or polycarbonate panels.
