Alden Biesen – Europe’s biggest flower arranging event, took place last week in Bilzen, Belgium, and Fides was also well represented there. The church was coloured by Belgian flower arranger Jan Deridder who used more than 7000 Fides chrysanthemums. ‘Prada’, ‘Lollipop’, ‘Lollipop Purple’ and ‘Cheeks Dark’ provided a beautiful pink colour contrasted by the refreshing green colours of ‘Feeling Green Dark’ and ‘Country’.
Placed centre-stage in the church was a gorgeous combination of natural objects arranged in an undulating pattern and covered with chrysanthemums. The sides were supported by enormous flower shapes constructed of natural materials, with the pistils made of chrysanthemums.
In short, a really impressive event with a high wow factor!
