We’ve just recovered from the biggest floral holiday of the year (Valentine’s Day), and now we’re heading into the third biggest holiday: Mother’s Day! We know you’re well into planning, but we wanted to give you a few tips to help you make this Mother’s Day the most profitable yet. Here are eight simple tips to add to what you’re already doing to prepare and market your flowers:
1. Simplify, Simplify, Simplify
Streamline your offerings as much as possible. With flower availability still a potential issue, create bouquets with non-specific names, like “spring mix” or “country garden.” That way, you can substitute flowers based on availability. Establish three price points for your featured arrangements, making it easier for people to choose the arrangement in their price range. Simplifying your offerings can also help reduce inventory costs and increase profit margins.
