Vegan cheese is becoming more popular, so it's no surprise that Whole Foods is going in on the trend with Nuts for Cheese. The line of artisan and handcrafted vegan cheeses are made from the milk of cultured organic cashews. Traditional fermentation processes make the non-dairy cheese rich and creamy, and it's available in a variety of flavors (just like real cheese!).
A handful of the vegan cheeses are air-dried and aged after the culturing process, which give the cheese its sharpness, similar to dairy cheese (in fact, the cheeses continue to sharpen as they age). The non-dairy cheeses range from mild and creamy, to sharp and complex, and they're sold in both wedges and spreads.
