For the fourth straight year, Tyson Food Service was named the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) Supplier of the Year. 2009 marked the fifth receipt of this award within the past six years for the company. Tyson corporate executives were on-site at the opening dinner at the 2010 IFDA Partners Executive Forum to accept the award.
“At Tyson Foods we are very committed to the success of our distributor partners and their customers,” said Bernard Leonard, group vice president, Tyson Food Service. “It is an honor to receive this award and be recognized by IFDA for our efforts. We work hard every day to earn the trust and respect of our customers, and ultimately their business.”
Annually, 45 of the top foodservice manufacturers are ranked by the more than 160 members of IFDA on their performance and effectiveness in the following key business areas: conveying product information, working with the distributor sales force, the quality of sales training materials, communicating advertising and promotional information, and the availability of company representatives for handling account issues.
