Nationally acclaimed area cheese company Sweet Grass Dairy announced Friday that it will discontinue its line of goat cheese products.
The Thomasville, Ga., company said its goat cheeses — Holly Springs and Fresh Chevre among them — should be available through the end of the year.
"You really shouldn't see any lack of goat cheese like we would any other year," Sweet Grass owner Jeremy Little said, noting that his farm's animals produce less milk in colder months. "We'll be milking goats through the year. Our goat cheese will be available through Christmas or however long supplies last."
