Sweet Grass Dairy took home two First Place Awards and one 3rd Place Award at the annual American Cheese Society Conference in Providence Rhode Island.
Sweet Grass Dairy, is a family business in Thomasville, Georgia, dedicated to making great cheeses in Southern Georgia. Lovingly called “the super bowl of American cheese,” the American Cheese Society’s annual competition and festival of cheeses provides a venue for cheese aficionados from all over the country to compare and taste almost .2000 cheeses from 267 distinguished cheese makers.
In just over a decade, Sweet Grass Dairy has won more than 20 ribbons from American Cheese Society Competition and two international awards. The company is nationally recognized as one of the South’s biggest and best-handcrafted cheese makers. This year they took the following awards back home to South Georgia.
