ST-ALBERT – There’s something new to squeak about at the St-Albert Cheese Co-operative, celebrating its grand opening on February 3. St-Albert is now 30 per cent bigger and back to work producing award-winning cheese.
After a fire levelled the co-operative’s St-Albert facility two years ago, things looked grim.
The century-old cheese factory was reduced to ruins and more than 100 employees were suddenly fearful for their jobs.
The golden lining – was in the cheese.
