REESEVILLE | People in Dodge County know Jeanie Korth as the “Cheese Lady” because of her efforts to market Specialty Cheese Company products through sampling and involvement in the county fair.
But that title is just as appropriate to the people she works with across the United States and around the world as Specialty Cheese’s customer service manager. Company president Paul Scharfman credits her for building relationships with an incredibly diverse customer base.
“He signs my paycheck, but I work for the customer,” Korth said.
And the customer may be someone from India or Mexico or nearly anywhere in the United States where there is a sizable ethnic group. That’s because Specialty Cheese has become one of the leading producers of ethnic cheeses in the world, according to Scharfman. It produces more than 50 varieties of ethnic cheese.
