OTTAWA — The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Winnipeg-based Smith’s Quality Meats are warning the public not consume some “ready-to-eat” cooked meats because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Smith’s Quality Meats is recalling the meats as a precautionary measure, the agency said in a news release.
The products have been distributed in retail and deli stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and northwestern Ontario.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
