Schaumberg, IL – The Rational SelfCooking Center prepares food up to 28 percent faster than a conventional combi steamer.
SelfCooking Center units come with exhaustively researched and tested built-in, end-to-end cooking routines for virtually all types of food that are accessible through the selection of two predetermined variables, making it highly intuitive for any level of foodservice professional. The operator selects the product being prepared and the desired doneness and the unit determines the appropriate cooking time and temperature and adjusts as necessary to prepare the food as specified. Once the cooking operation begins, the SelfCooking Center requires a negligible amount of monitoring. The unit automatically monitors the cooking process and adjusts up to 3,600 times per hour, saving the operator time to focus elsewhere in the operation.
The SelfCooking Center is equipped with nine automated cooking modes for the preparation of: roasts, pan fries, poultry, fish, side dishes, potato products, egg dishes, desserts, bakery products and automatic finishing. Within the nine cooking modes, there are 57 cooking processes at the operator’s disposal. The programmed features of the SelfCooking Center not only make it easy to use, but also enable chefs to create consistent results each time they prepare an item. The SelfCooking Center is available in six different model sizes in gas or electric configurations.
The payoff for the SelfCooking Center’s consistency is high-quality food. For example, meats retain more moisture, and vegetables are greener, crisper and retain more of their original nutrients.
