Tampa, FL — Busy parents long have dreamed of a day when someone else picks up everything they need at the grocery store. Publix is taking a step in that direction, offering a test project of curbside pickup for groceries.
Shoppers order their items online, then drive to the store, where Publix staff load the items and customers drive off, having never left their car.
The project is a type of experiment for Publix and will roll out slowly at a select few locations in the Southeast. The first two locations include one in Atlanta, opening soon, and one in Tampa, which will open in late September or early October at 7835 Gunn Highway. Here's how it works:
