Elmore, OH – Tank’s Meats, Inc. of 3355 State Route 51 S., Elmore, Ohio is issuing a voluntary recall for Beef Pastrami, Cooked Corned Beef and various sausage products because they were produced without the benefit of State Inspection and/or misbranded.
The following Tank’s Meats products are subject to the recall:
• Beef Pastrami
• Cooked Corned Beef
• Andouille Sausage
• Italian Sausage with Cheese and Whole Fennel
Each package bears the establishment number 76 inside the Ohio mark of inspection. The sausage products were produced between July 15, 2014 and August 13, 2014 and will contain a four digit lot code ranging between 4257 through 4286. The sausage subject to recall is in bulk and rope, although may not be listed on the label as such.
The Cooked Corned Beef was produced between July 16, 2014 and July 30, 2014 and will contain a four
digit lot code ranging between 4258 through 4272. All Beef Pastrami is being recalled regardless of lot
code.
The products were discovered as a result of a records review conducted by Ohio Department of Agriculture Inspectors.
There have been no reports of illness due to the consumption of these products. If a person is concerned about illness, please contact your local health care professional.
