LaClare Farms Raclette won First Place, Best of Class at ACS in the Raclette-style category.
LaClare's Raclette was born out of a shared love of exceptional cheese. Cheese Maker, Katie Furhmann, is passionate about washed rind cheeses but found she wasn't able to devote the time necessary to create a beautiful cheese. In came David Rogers. David is a tremendously talented affineur. In short, his job is to tend to the cheese as it ages. He washes every wheel by hand to ensure that it will be extraordinary. The partnership between Katie and David is one that has resulted in multiple international award winning cheeses.
