Good Foods Group LLC, a company that received a $127,000 loan from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. in 2014, has completed a 40,000-square-foot expansion that provides more room to make “Fresh” brand dips and guacamole in Pleasant Prairie.
The Chicago-based food company moved its headquarters and some of its production to the LakeView Corporate Park in 2013, and has invested more than $7 million in capital improvement, according to WEDC records. Good Foods has retained 72 jobs and created 21 more, as part of its loan agreement.
Kurt Penn, founder and CEO, said the state, Kenosha County and village of Pleasant Prairie helped the company grow.
