Health department investigators say four Colorado people treated for E. coli infection in October and November say they consumed chicken salad purchased at Costco stores.
E. coli was confirmed in two cases in Jefferson County and one each in Arapahoe and Routt counties. One person was hospitalized. All four patients have recovered, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment said Monday.
Cases also have been linked to the chicken salad in Utah, Montana and Washington.
The Colorado patients told investigators they had purchased "Chicken Salad made with Rotisserie Chicken" on Oct. 25 and 26 and became ill between Oct. 28 and Nov. 3.
