Ford Farm Cheeses are made in England, in Dorset, on the English Channel.
According to its website, Ford Farm is known for its Cheddar cheeses, many of which have a protected designation of origin as traditional West Country English Farmhouse Cheddars. All milk is from herds within a 30-mile radius of the dairy.
Some Ford Farms Cheddars are transported a few miles north to age in the famous caves of Wookey Hole in Somerset, the original home of Cheddar cheese. Others are kept to age on the Dorset coast, or are smoked.
Dorset Red is a deep, pumpkin-orange cheddar-type cheese made by Ford Farms from the pasteurized milk of their own estate herd. It is slowly smoked over oak chips.
